Stories That Heal

I have notebooks that I call "head notebooks" and keep them organized.

Sometimes I open an old notebook years later and read it, and it takes me back to that moment, as if I'd gotten into a time machine.
My notes about an event I experienced, the meaning of that event in my life (at that moment), and how it made me feel.
Now, according to the story, sometimes it was a plan that I could implement, sometimes it was a job that I failed at...
The feelings of "me" in those stories at that moment. And the way those stories made me feel years later...
When a person can express himself and his feelings on paper in their "real meaning", he also begins to explore the nebulous region of his subconscious.
Because our lives are more about how we remember past events than they are about past events.
Focused journaling brings a different perspective to the events we experience and helps us heal and become stronger.
Like in an old Native American story...
The old man said, "I feel like there are two wolves fighting in my heart."
One wolf is vengeful and angry. The other wolf is loving and compassionate.
When asked which wolf will win in his heart, the old man said,
"The one that I feed," he says.
What story are you living? How do you choose to remember your story?
If you want to learn to "feed" stories that heal you,
You can start by writing.
